About: Affects & Dreams is the continuation of Good Morning, I Love You, a radio show that was organized by Crossdressing Diogenes. That radio show asked the question: “If ravers can be anywhere at 10am on a Sunday, how can we play to all of them at once? How can we draw a line through a thousand dance floors at the same time?” Since then, Crossdressing Diogenes has become part of a bigger project, Becoming, which will take over as the curator of the radio show.
Affects & Dreams, as a project, started when Good Morning, I Love You was invited to participate in Lumbung Radio, a project affiliated with Documenta Fifteen that we used as an excuse to run a mini-series where we attempted to take our radio show and interweave it with our research as sociologists — we have been working with the notion of non-minimalism, based on a series of essays written by niko mas (published on NON), and since the completion of the mini-series we have been developing Affects & Dreams into a radio show project of its own, complete with an eponymous book. Additional info: The show will feature guests, as many as possible, with the host filling in for the weeks that we can’t find any DJs.
Location: Currently based in Berlin, our radio show streams four times a month, twice on Barking Cats Radio (cyprus), twice on Lumbung Radio (helsinki), on alternating weekends.
